Featured Photographer: Michelle Roche

Thank you to Michelle Roche for letting us use her photos that capture a variety of marine sports in Europe and the United Kingdom, including kite boarding and wind surfing.

In Michelle’s words:

My first experience of taking photos was when I was about 6 or 7 years old when I went on holiday with my parents. My father would let me take photos with his camera which was a Kodak Retinette 1A. After that my parents bought me my own Kodak Instamatic camera. Nowadays Im using a Canon 50D, Canon 20D, Canon D30, a 100-400mm Canon IS USM, and a 17-85mm Canon IS USM.

How To Share Your Photos With Us On Twitter, Flickr and Facebook

Do you  have some great photos of ultimate athletes you want to share? Some shots of yourself tearing it up? Email us your photos and they will post to the Search For the Ultimate network of social sites, including Flickr, Twitter and our Facebook fan page.

Here’s how it works.

Compose an email to: sith32mids@tarpipe.net

Attach an image to the email:

composeemailpicture

Write a photo caption. It would be cool if you would include your Twitter address in the subject line.  For example:

Gmail - Compose Mail - alexhwilliams@gmail.com

Your photo caption will appear with a link to the photo.  Adding a caption in the body of the email will send it to other services like Friendfeed.

twitteremail.instructions

For example, after sending the email,  the photo appeared on Flickr:

Adam Craig: Scouting The Falls

And on Twitter (See how the caption becomes the tweet?):

Twitter _ Yves Garceau_ Adam Craig_ Scouting The F ...

Your tweet will also go to our Facebook fan page:

Facebook | Search For the Ultimate Athlete

That’s it. Let’s see some ultimate athlete photos!

Cricket, Kiteboarding and Surfing in the UK – Photos by John Hales

John Hales is our latest contributor in our effort to feature talented sports photographers from around the world. I like John’s mix of old and new sports:

Here’s a bit about John’s background from his profile on Flickr:

Born in Manchester a very long time ago, before Manchester United were the greatest footy team in the world, but Lancashire was the home great cricket (and still is).

Started taking pix when I was given bakerlite Brownie 127 at the age of 9. Have been snapping off and on ever since. Love digital, but still run one or two rolls of slide film, if only because the local camera club does slide competitions.
